How to setup dell 2850 server with RAID 1 and Raid 5

We bought a dell 2850 with Raid 1 (2 x 36.8 Gig Drives) and Raid 5 (3 x 128 Gig Drives). The server has no OS installed. How do i set this server up so the system partition is on the mirror and raid 5 is just extra storage? ( C: being 36 and D: being Raid 5 array).

If the raid is already setup. Then, boot from the os cd. If its Microsoft OS, wait for the first screen to appear. It will prompt you at the bottom, to press F6, to load your Raid Drivers. Then go through the setup process. You will be asked which partition to place the OS. You should select the c:\ drive. The OS will then format the drive and install on this partition. When the OS is installed, just go into Disk Manager within windows and format the second array.

Hope this helps!

When the server is turned on the 2 Raid 1 disks blink amber (everything plugged in). When we pop the raid 5 disks out the raid 1 disks go on line ( blink green). We then ran the dell setup CDROMS that came with the server to setup raid and installthe OS. Both Raid 5 and Raid 1 disks show up on the first screen either though the raid 5 disks are still pulled out. I selected the option to install a OS but the dell software wants to install the OS on the Raid 5 disks either though though Raid 1 disks are the only ones that are in. How do I get the OS on the Raid 1 disks?

And after i somehow figure out how to install the OS can I just plugged the raid 5 disks in after the OS is installed and use diskmanager to format the array?

I'm confused

Firts, are you sure you Raids are properly setup in the Raid controller bios?
(just check it, by pressing the keys it tells you to during boot)

Then -
If you properly inserted the raid controller drivers during the initial Win boot (pressing F6 when it ask you for it), as you said you should only have a "c: and d:" drives. (you should have all HDs inserted)
And install the OS into your C: (assuming it is the mirrored set).
