screen crash after driver install

i have Nvidia geforce 5700LE 128mb VGA card. when i ON the computer screen going weird. i can see only mouse cursor clearly. i format my machine reinstall vga card. when i ONt he pc first it defaulty take the window driver, and when i install the nvidia driver the screen going weird. i tried on three of my friends machine. same result please some body help me.

Hi pridesn8,

This can be due to wrong/bad/outdated driver, try downloading and installing updated driver from manufacturer's website.
your AGP?(Nvidia) may be faulty

Try a different video card in your computer. I agree, it does look like your card is bad if it will not work on other computers. You can ask to have the second question (same as this one) removed.

Hey, this is still open.. what's the status?  Any new development?  I would like to table this or help you out.  If there is a valid answer could you please grade accordingly.  If there were many input from other's splitting the poinst would be good as we invested our time in helping you out.  Please advise.

if the card got bad , it wont work with default windows drivers. my card work with windows drivers(auto detection). but when i install manufacture drivers only my screen getting blured. but without installing manufacture driver,it wont work to potential .so this current situation. my is used less then 6 month an no warranty for it. XFX Geforce fx series 5600 le

is the card an OEM (original equipment manufacture) product or an actual NVIDIA card?  All manufacturers offer some kind of repair....and possibly upgrade/trade-in path.

1- bad card
2- motherboard drivers not installed
3- or same problem on the PC  (unlikely, but possible)

BTW, did you try installing another video card, even a cheap PCI one, and does that install the drivers?

i have installed a nother nvidia geforce Mx 4000 card it work perfectly with manufacturing drivers. IT XFX Manufactured.(www,xfxforce.com).

Ok.. .since you have another card... before you trash the bad card.. write the manufacturerer regarding repair.
