The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Artifacts while playing Games

I have  a Geforce 6800gt OC running on WinXp pro with the latest drivers installed.

My problem is that when I load up a video game to play, during gameplay there will be small and large artifacts flashing around the screen. It will the cause the computer to freeze at some point.

this is getting annoying,  but when I don't play games the computer runs normally. Even when I watch videos there are no artifacts flashing, only during gameplay.

how could this be solved?
