Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. One day I just turned on my computer and the cddvd rw drive just stopped working. I did nothing to make the drive stop working properly. I did a virus scan and spyware scan. Cleaned that up and it still won't work. These are the computer settings:
Windows XP home edition
Service Pack 2
VAIO Computer Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2.99 GHz, 512 MB of RAM
And the DVD drives:
HL-DT -ST DVD-ROM GR816B
PIONEER DVD-RW DVR 107D
I know its not really nesacerry, but I would reset the computer back to factory settings, becasue its been a while since I've done that. Usually that solvs the problem fast. I want to save my self from doing that step. It's such a pain, and I have to much information that I don't want to loose. I just need a little help on how to fix this.
