I don't use a Symmetra in particular, but if you go to: http://www.apc.com/support /index.cfm
---------- ---------- -
---------- ---------- -
- Then knowledgebase search using 'Symmetra' under the products field, and 'password recovery' in the text field - there are a few different techniques. Unfortunatly, I'm not exactly sure which article may work the best.
If that uses a PowerView control (9 buttons and display screen) try this: (I randomly downloaded a manual, and it said some of those Symmetra's did...)
--------------------------
All PowerView revs up to and including L.
1. Press and hold all four buttons on the PowerView (Esc, UP Arrow, Down Arrow and Bent Arrow).
2. When the LCD displays "Display about to REBOOT", let go of the UP & Down Arrow buttons.
3. Wait until the screen displays Fuel, Load, Vin, et... let go of Esc and Bent Arrow (i. e. Enter) buttons.
4. Now the PowerView will not require a password for the control menus until it is programmed again on the Display Menu.
PowerView rev N and later.
At the password prompt enter the PowerView serial number starting with the 5th character.
(ex. WA9743311834, use 43311834 for backdoor password)
--------------------------
Good luck, hope this helps!
