Browse All TopicsUser was backing up every day with an Iomega Peerless external 10GB USB drive. Due to a fire, we have had to move the drive to a new computer (both were running XP), and now having problems restoring files to the new computer. We can view the drive contents in windows explorer, and it consists of two 'image' files (i.e. image.113 and image.114, but we cannot figure out how to open the image files and restore anything. I've got the original install CD, and I've installed the 'iomegaware' software, but that does seem to help...or do anything at all, for that matter. There is no obvious menu that can be brought up to allow me to access the drive and backup and restore, etc.
Iomega says they no longer support it, and are no help. What is out there that will let me open the files and restore some? I've got two working drives, two sets of software, two computers, and multiple cartridges with these image files on them, but so far, I'm not seeing how to get to the data. Any ideas...for urgently needed help while I'm on-site here?
