floppy disk fail 40
i did change the floppy and i still have floppy fail 40.both floppy work on other computers.

As Sparkmaker said, disable it in bios or get new floppy drive.

did you hook up the floppy cable correct? the twisted wires come near the floppy.
also, when you boot the system, your floppy light should come on for a couple of seconds, then turn otf. If it stays on, you misconnected the cable.
and check if the correct floppy type is enabled in the bios

When you boot your PC, check the floppy power led; if it's never lit, your floppy power connector is faulty; if it's lit all the time, your floppy data cable is reversed. If you just want to bypass this, disable the floppy startup seek option in your machine's BIOS

If you have put a known working floppy drive and known working cable, then that leaves the connection point or controller on the motherboard.
