Cannot remove IDE harddrive and only use SATA, PC hangs at BIOS boot screen!

When I built this PC, I installed Windows XP on the 500gb SATA HDD I purchased, but had a 10gb IDE harddrive in from my older computer, just so I could copy my stuff across.

Upon attempting to remove the drive, the PC doesn't get past the boot screen.
