Question
why is my blu ray not recognized
Just installed a Pioneer BDR-203bk blu ray burner. I can read cd's, auto load cd's, but the blu ray burner is not recognized. It's not in device manager, my computer, Everest, or disk manager. If I put the Cyberlink cd (or any other cd) that came with the drive it will then show up. I can see it in my computer, disk manager but not Everest or device manager. When I try to install the Cyberlink software, I get an error message saying "could not find Pioneer device aborting install" I tried the MSkb suggestion to got into regedit & delete upper & lower filters, but it didn't help.
System specs; EVGA 780i mobo, Intel qx6800, 4g Corsair Dominator, Creative xi-fi titanium, Thermaltake 1000w ps, Sony
dvdrw dru800a, BFG tech gtx 280 video. Running XP pro sp3. Any help would be appreciated Ed
