Yeah, I know about the option and I can change it. It's just when you restart the laptop the settings go back. It will not save after a restart.

Browse All TopicsI am using a Dell D420 with Windows Xp. I am aware of the Internal Network Card Power Management problem that you have to set the settings to Always Activate on Battery. However, it seem recently that since they have updated to image to Office 2007 this option no longer seem to stay on. If you set the option to Alway active on Battery and restart the laptop it goes back to Always Deactivate on battery when the network cable is unplugged.
Any ideas on how to get this to stay on the option Alway active on Battery

On newer Dell's, there is a Dell utility that manages the Nic's power management settings, and overrides what you set it to. Take a look under Program Files\Dell, or Control Panel.
