The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. multiport NIC that passes traffic from one port to another when powered off?

Hello,

I'd like to place a single server inline with my network.  The purpose of the server is to analyse network traffic coming from and going to the internet.  My concern is that if the server goes down, I will loose access to the internet.  I'm currently pushing for hot failover on firewalls and routers, so this inline server would be the only point of failure that needs immediate and manual intervention if it were to go down.  

So my question is...

Does anyone know of a multiport network card that is capable of allowing traffic from one port directly through to another port when it's powered off
