Slow resolving IP address from DHCP after installing new Network Driver

Asked by goldragon in Network Cards & Adapters, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), TCP/IP

Hi All,
I am experiencing problem which is pretty wierd for me at least.

When I am upgrading my network card driver to the latest version, suddenly it takes longer time to resolve the ip address. which drives me mad as when i am building a new PC and connected the PC to the domain. the next time it restarts it will not download the group policy as it thinks the network is not connected, I have to actually login and wait a few minutes for it to resolve the IP address.

Normally I just downgrade the driver again.. however I have also comes across certain Network card which only requires the latest drivers to be installed which drives me insane :(

Has anyone experience this issue. and how do you solve this?

Please advise.

Regards,
