This is driving me nuts.
I just set up a hyper-v server (no virtual machines yet), fresh install and configured the network. I can ping other hostsfrom it but cannot ping the hyper-v server from any PC/server on my network. I have enabled Remote desktop (all users) and tried both DHCP and static address on my subnet with no luck. The machine is joined to my domian, its connection has been registered in dns (Can resolve from other clients). I am logged into the machine as domain admin.
Is there a friewall that need to be configured on hyper-v ?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
cheers

Yes, you do have to do some special configuration. Does this happen to be a Server Core install of Hyper-V?
