Unable to connect to internet - network card detected [Realtek RTL8168(P)8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC]

Hello Experts,

On Dell Vostro 1310 Laptop .. I installed FC9. Network card got detected (Realtek RTL8168(P)8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC) .. I configured with the ip address ,s/n mask,gateway,nameservers.. but still unable to connect to internet..same configuration works fine on Windows XP.

When i try to ping to the gateway .. it says 'host unreacheable'

What could be further diagnostic steps to troubleshoot this prob.

Please help me out.
