Hi Experts, I am looking to place 3 LCD's in various areas of our building in a effort to improve communication, I just want to use powerpoint or something so i don't have to fork out for the content manger type software thats commercially available. I have sourced a 4 way vga - cat 5 transmitter and three cat5 - vga recivers (all same brand) so i can run it over cat 5. I'm guessing this will all work fine as its within the 100m limit, however one of the LCD's is in another building that is connected via fibre and was wondering wether i could place a rj45 - fibre converter at either end of a spare fibre pair and continue the cat 5 run to the receiver? I've never done anything like this and presume the cat 5 to vga will be ok, but don't know about throwing the fibre in the mix..? Oh by the way i'm obviously running the cat 5 straight through and not touching the switches..
Any help greatly appreciated or anyone with suggestions on other way of doing it again greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Leon
