The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Connect two compuers on 150m distance

What would you suggest as the best way to connect 2 PC's on 150m distance? There is a railway just next to the right (about 10m distance), if it matters.

a) if you suggest wired connection, what cable would be the most appropriate for this task? Should it be placed in a hose (I would put it 1/2m in a ground )? Do I need some kind of a repeater and which one would you suggest?

b) if you suggest wireless connection (these two points are visible to each looking from the roofs), what equipment would you suggest then? And how secure can I make it to be?

Also, I have never used STP or FTP cables before, only UTP. Is there any difference in connecting 2 PC's with STP/FTP cable? I read that shielding must be grounded for the shielding to work - do I need to do something particular for grounding when making STP/FTP cable?
