a laptop hard drive is the same as a regular HDD. You should be able to see it. The best way is to get a cable that connect the smaller drive to a IDE or USB connector. Ihave an HX-IDE-K card which will enable the computer to read the smaller drive. Also you can buy an IDE/SATA to USB cable. This cable usually had the IDE, SATA and HX (smaller IDE) connectors as well as a cable to USB. You computer should read the smaller laptop drive just as any other drive.
