We are using a 50 ft CAT6 ethernet cable in an industrial application to connect a Motion Controller (basically a computer) to a Windows PC Touch Screen (used as the operator interface).
At random times, the communication will be interrupted and everything is forced to stop. This is the first time we have used a 50 ft cable and are wondering if anyone else has had communication issues using such a long cable.
Is going to fiber optic cables a recommended solution?
