Browse All TopicsAm trying to find some blank caps that would be used to cover up a couple ports on a router that I do not want to have a cable inadvertently connected to when installed. Anyone know where I can purchased a supply of these. Not sure what the proper term is for the, but it is basically the same idea as child protective plug caps, but for RJ45 ports.

I have seen some plastic covers on dell workstations and server when the motherboard has an embeded nic, but there is anouther nic card installed. Those are nice and smooth, but I don't know where to buy them.

If it was me I would crimp a couple of RJ45's without a cable in them. The should then be able to be snapped into the jack, blocking it. Might not be a bad idea to paint the back of them red to make then stand out.
