Setting up a new office and going to wired it with gigabit ethernet.
Few Questions:
1) Can a cat5e cable be used to connect to gigabit switch? and only can get 100mbps ? or i must use cat6 cable ? 2) Is the wiring for cat6 cable to the connectors are same as cat5e ? white orange, orange, white green, blue, white blue, green, white brown and brown. ?
3) Require a wireless router with adsl, can it be connect to my gigabit switch ?
4) Purpose of my server are for file sharing only - if using win xp pro sufficient or windows 2003 server ?
3) For VPN, do i require any software to install in server end and client pc ?
5) Firewall - If would like to implement this, what requirement i need to have ?
