Since you have had no replies....
I have seen several items in different message boards that lowering the MTU value in this situation, has resolved. Doubtful but you could try on the router lowering to 1320 as a test. If that resolves, gradually increase it to 1500 (1492 if PPPoE connection with your ISP) untill it "breaks".
