What is the typical way for shutdown firewall ?

Hi expert ,,,

There is maintain for electricity in our enterprise, and will be shut down for 5 hours.
My question: what is best practice to deal with situation, and is necessary to shut down firewalls or will work properly after electricity back, and if necessary what is the typical way for shutdown firewall ?
