How to backup and restore PIX Config

Hi there,

I am new to configuring Cisco PIX firewalls. As part of another question I have posted here I will most likely have to alter some settings, so would like to know how to backup the current settings and how to reapply that backup should something go disastrously wrong.

Are there any things I *must* not change in the config?

Thanks for the comments. Is it best practice to backup both the config and image before tinkering?

Would i need to restore both, or jsut one should things go wrong?

Rob

Yes, very much, but backing up configuration is more important than the image for the very reason that if you lose it, it is gone. But image can be downloaded from Cisco site if you have a service contract with Cisco.
