Routing Point 2 Point traffic through Sonicwall

Asked by FredeD768 in Networking Hardware Firewalls, Network Routers

Tags: Sonicwall, TZ 170 Enhanced

Hello,

I just got a point 2 point connections set up with a branch office and my main goal
is to be able map a network drive for them that resides at the main office so they
can use a business application locally instead of using remote desktop.

This is how the set up is currently hooked up between the branch office (left) to
the main office (right of P2P).

PC---Branch Router(s0)<--->P2P<--->(s1)Main Router(fa)---Sonicwall---PC
                    |                                                      |
              PIX Firewall                                      (S0)
                    |                                                      |
                  ISP                                                 ISP

Getting access to the computers at the branch office from the main office was the
easy part, all I had to do was just change their default gateway from the Cisco
Pix firewall to the new Cisco router that had the Point 2 Point connected to it,
since the Pix cannot route traffic through it.  Once that was done I can ping any
terminal at the branch office from the main office, but not vice versa.

Now what seems to be my only problem remaining is that I cannot get any traffic
coming from the Point 2 Point line from the branch office to go through the
Sonicwall at the main office to get to my servers there.  So as of right now
from any computer at the branch office I can ping all the way up to the fa on the
the Main office Cisco Router, but not any interfaces on the Sonicwall or past it.

So what is holding me back is my limited knowledge of Sonicwalls, I have been
trying to get traffic to route through the Sonicwall through both Firewall->
Access Rules and Network->Routing tabs, but with no success.

Here is a breakdown of the IP addresses at both locations

Branch
Network        192.168.20.x
Pix Firewall   192.168.20.1
DG (cisco fa)  192.168.20.3
Cisco s0       192.168.10.2

Main
Network        192.168.1.x
Cisco s1       192.168.10.1
Cisco fa       207.230.208.249
SW Lan Int     192.168.1.254  (D.G.)
SW Wan Int     207.230.208.250

The Sonicwall is a TZ170 Enhanced, if you would like to see the router configs or
have any questions let me know.

Thanks,

Ryan
