After adding some new 3Com switches clients must ping servers before we can access them.

We just added some new 3Com switches to replace some older unmanaged switches and setup some VLANs to break up the network. Everything can talk to each other as planed but most clients cant talk to a server until they ping that server. Example: If I boot up and open Outlook it will just set there saying its trying to connect or that its unable to connect until I ping the exchange server from that client.

Any suggestions?
