Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Brand new ASA 5510 cant load config

I have a brand new (delivered Monday) ASA 5510 and when i try to load the ASDM it let me login successfully but then says that it cannot load the current config. I can connect to the unit using console cable and the ethernet interface (0/0 management) is working and assigns an ip. However when i try to launch ASDM or open the unit withing a web browser it successfully loads lets me login and then pops up a window saying it cant load the current config.

I know I know i can do all the config from command line but im realtively new to cisco and im trying to migrate all of our setting from our pix506e to the new unit. This will be much easier with the GUI for me as im used to the pix GUI which is almost identical.

(note: please dont tell me about the cisco migration tool as it doesnt work with the pix 506e as it requires the 7.0 software which the 506e cant run).

Please help with this as im sure its going to be the first of many posts im going to be making regarding this unit and that means lotsa points for you experts out there.

thanks any help or direction is appreciated as it will hopefully help me avoid a 3 hour wait to talk to a cisco rep.
