Yes, once you change the passwords, ssh into the device to make sure the creds work.
while there check to see if the following lines are present:
http server enable
http 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 inside (or management) (also amke sure your IP scheme matches)
That's all you'd need to get asdm access.
