Question

SonicWall Site to Site VPN Issue

Asked by: ccpjc

Hi All,

Very important problem here that I cannot figure out, i came from an environment of Standard OS for sonicwalls to an environment of Enhanced OS, a little different but nothing I couldn't figure out. Or so I though, for some reason I cannot get a site to site VPN working between my NSA 2400 and a TZ 190. I have done everything right as far as I know and even copied a working VPN connection on the NSA yet it STILL will not connect..

This VPN connection needs to be up and running by friday, all help will be greatly appreciated!
I checked the logs but nothing is even showing up????

OK does the tunnel even get brought up? Meaning under VPN settings is there a green light next to your tunnel? You have to attemt to connect to one of the remote servers before the Sonic Wall will attempt to bring the tunnel up.

If the tunnel is up can you ping the machines over the tunnel?

no i can't get the tunnel to come up, that's the issue. I've tried pinging machines in the remote network (ping to both sides) and it won't work, even tried pinging the public ip still no go

Look in your VPN logs via the webGUI, what errors are you seeing if (any) related to the ipsec tunnel?

Please post these errors.
