how to block urls through sonicwall
Ok I want to give certain ips lets say
192.168.3.100 to 192.168.3.120 to our employees and not allow
social websites
chat except skype

is there a third party tool that can help us do this or sonicwall where not even https is bypassed? thanks

Looks like you do! To achieve this all we really need is a combo of Content Filtering and App Control.

Thank You so much but i don't see application control? thanks
Your welcome!
You don't see Application Control in my instructions (http:#a39567027) or you can't locate it in the SonicWALL?
If it's the latter, then it depends on your firmware version, which is why I asked for it previously.
It's either going to be located Security Services > Application Control or Firewall Settings > App Control.
Let me know if you still can't find out. Also re-read my post cause I may have been modifying it at the same time you were reading it. (http:#a39567027)

I'm glad I could help! Thanks for the points.
Yes, you can do this with SonicWALL CGSS (Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite) and Access Rules. Do you have it licensed?
Why do you need to restrict IPs though?
Let me know if you need step-by-step instructions and I can provide them after you answer if you have CGSS licensed our not.
