Upgrading from Sonicwall TZ190 to TZ105

I am upgrading from a TZ190 to a TZ105. Can I restore the settings I exported from the TZ190 to the TZ105? The TZ190 is sonicwall-TZ_190_Wireless_Enhanced-4_0_1_3-46e and the TZ105 is running sw_tz-105w__eng_5.9.0.0

I read that on the Sonicwall site diverseit before I posted the question but I appreciate the effort. I was really looking for someone that might have completed an OS4 to OS5 setting restore on the models I listed in my question. I was able to restore the config and with a few minor tweaks, I had his firewall back online in no time.

I provided you with the answer (http:#a39567258). I'm not sure why you didn't select that as your answer. It is a better practice to configure the unit from scratch when getting a new model series (same model series not an issue), which is why I said, "it's not recommended but it is compatible". I have done this (security refreshes going from Gen4 to Gen5) several times as we manage tons of SonicWALL devices but there are caveats (which I listed) and some devices may not upgrade as they are not compatible. Again, it's more of a convenience to import settings rather than a best practice and I was advising you on best practices primarily.

All you have to do is ask if you need more clarity or simply ask, "hey, I'm looking for personal experience here....have you ever done this before?" But from your question there is no way anyone can read that, except via telepathy.
