The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hi, I am helping my dad setup his home business and he went from verizon dsl residential to static business dsl line with a block of 5 ips because he will be hosting some things.  The modem is a westell 6110f I will be using a cisco 3640 (12.4 IOS) and a sonicwall tz 170.  The internet dsl modem we got is just a bridged modem from verizon.  I spoke with verizon and they do not want to give me another ip address on a different block they told me I need to purchase another line, because I wanted wan IPs on eth0/0 and 0/1 so the sonicwall WAn could have a wan IP as well.  I need help on how to set this up on the cisco router and sonicwall tz.  Here are  the internet IPs, please note I had on this 3640 dhcp verizon dsl running before but when it was dhcp but I want to start from scratch on the router again since this is different. I also know i cant bridge from eth 0.0 to 0.1 So i pretty much need as much help as possible I would like to do my natting on the sonicwall because of a couple servers that will be on the web. Thanks in advance for your help.

WAN IP's

98.xxx.xxx.18- 22
98.xxx.xxx.1 DG
