I have an USRobotics voice modem internal PCI 2884B.
It has 2 holes: 1 for speakers and 1 for a microphone.
I have attached them to the modem.
The specification says it supports full-duplex conversation, so I said let's call my friend.
I used all the sofware I imagined, none worked.[PhoneTools,ModemSp
I started to use hyperterminal [Anyway, this is how I wanted in the first place].
I send the initialisation strings.
I enter voice mode with
at+fclass=8
i call with atdp333333333
I hear nothing, he can't hear me.
Can anybody send me an working example, a URL, tutorials , anything on this theme.

P.S. I don't want to record voice,or play wave files, all I want is to TALK to my friend
through my modem.

I am very most sure it's about selecting the line with #vls=?, or
other AT command.
so I repeat the question to the experts here:

Your best of playing with AT commands on a LAN - You can seriously upset the phone ppl blasting V90/92 commands at their exchanges/routers
Finally 'cos I hate comms - have you really got a pulse phone?
ATDP - Dials on a pulse line.
ATDT - Dials on a touch tone line.
ATDT5551234 dials 555-1234 on a touch tone line.

i assume u already connect yr modem to yr pc using rs232 straight cable ( 9-25)
from the hyper terminal check the comm port setting (which comm u use 1,2 etc), baud rate (9600,38400, etc.) parity none, data bits 8,stop bit 1.
then to confirm that yr modem have a communication with yr pc, type
AT
OK ( reply from the modem )
then type this
AT&f&w
OK ( reply from the modem )
then type the dialer string
ATDP for pulse
ATDT for tone
continue with yr destination number...eg:
ATDT1234567

Check if the volume is turn on. Go to Control Panel > Multimedia > Audio > Volume. Select Volume Control > Options >Properties. Check "Microphone" and "Line In". When they show up on your Volume Control menu, make sure they are muted.
