The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. What's this PCI MultiMedia Audio Device?

Hi...

I've been cleaning my PC (and I wish I hadn't!) and I had some problems with my modem.  It's now in the Device list (and working, cos I'm writing this question online!), but I have the 'yellow exclamation mark' in Other Devices... see question title.

What is it?  Is it a problem that it doesn't work?

Please help a hardware dummy.

PS:  I want to post a question about getting more than 16 colours and a higher res than 640x480...I've been to Display, already in the Control Panel - but I'm limited to 2 or 16 colours and the res bar is locked.  Where would I post that?  Or are you able to answer that here, too....for more points obviously!
