Question

Ciscotsp driver not available to configure

Asked by: sec1971

I'm running Windows XP with all the latest updates.  I've installed Cisco Unified Communications Manager TSP6.1(2.4).  I also installed the wave driver that goes with the software.  However, when I go to Control Panel, Phones and Modems, advanced tab, the Cisco telephony driver doesn't appear in the list.  It's also not available if I click Add to add it manually.  However, if I try to reinstall the software, it tells me it's already installed.  We've installed this software on every pc here and it works just fine for everyone except me!  Windows firewall is off, by the way.

How can I force it to show up in the list so I can configure it?

Is that the version of TSP that comes with Call Manager 6.1? We have CM 5 and I am experiencing the exact same issue with XP and Vista. It installs, but it never shows up for me to configure.  Sorry, I'm not much help, but I hope to find out the answer as well.

Yes I believe that is the version.  I found a registry entry where the providers are listed and added it there.  It now shows up in the list, but the configure button is greyed out so I still can't do anything with it.  Can anyone please help?

We used to have that same problem. First uninstall all cisco tsp software. The libeay32.dll needs to be the version i attached. size 808. That was provided to me from cisco. Put that in your system32 directory before installing cisco tsp.
1: unistall current tsp.
2: disable virus program only if trendmicro.
3: replace libeay32.dll
4: make sure your logged in as admin and re-install ciscotsp.

these steps have worked on all machines that had that issue so far.

Maybe I am missing something, but how do you view the attached file? I don't see anything.

Sorry it never uploaded. I zipped up the dll.  When you extract it you will see libeay32.txt , rename it to libeay32.dll. This site will not let me upload a .dll even in a zip.
