the linksys router is connected to a PC.
The Thomson Modem is set to be on bridge mode.
Now i can access internet through the Linksys router (PPPoE setting in Linksys) but the PC connected Directly to the Thomson Modem does not have connection to the internet and does not apear to be part of the network in network places

The problem is you're trying to use the Thomson modem simultaneously as a bridge and as a router. It doesn't work that way; putting it in bridge mode means it doesn't act as a router, so it won't talk to the PC that's connected directly to it.
I presume you want PCs connected to the Linksys or to the Thomson to all have access both to the Internet and to each other in a LAN. To do that, you need to make the Thomson your primary router, and set the Linksys to work only as a switch/access point, without enabling its DHCP server. You'll use the Static IP setting for the WAN port, rather than PPPoE, and let the Thomson handle the DSL connection.
