No policy provider is given when I try to diagnose the connection problem. It also will tell me that it could not connect with microsoft.com and that there might be a problem with my DNS configuration.
I use F-secure in addition to Windows Firewall. I ran a virus scan and came up clean. I also came up with no malware.
It just happened out of the blue. I was able to gain access for a few hours last night but could not connect this morning. I appreciate the help.

What happens when you turn off all of your firewall programs - can you get access then?
It is possible that Firefox has been blocked by either the F-secure firewall or the Windows firewall. Check the program settings of your firewall program and make sure the Firefox is set to allow access.
You should only be running one firewall at a time, so if you are running the F-secure firewall, turn the windows firewall off.
Good luck.
