Is it possible to make a voice call with a standard modem, POTS line and no physical phone?
Using TAPI (eg Windows dialler) the modem can dial the number, but then I need a physical phone in the loop in order to conduct the call.
Is it possible to use a "soft phone" to make the call with the PC's speakers/mic?
Would like this to work with standard laptop modems - most of which have Winmodems or soft modems and not full voice modems (I think)
Is this possible?
If so, is there an API/SDK available for an application to send the numbers to dial, receive CallerID and (optionally) record the call?
