Is the command "switchport nonegotiate" necessary if the port is an access port?

Hi Experts,

Quick one..If a port on my switch is an access port and is connected to another access port, is it necessary to have the command "switchport nonegotiate" on the switch? I would think that is only needed if the ports are a trunk port. Start Free Trial
