"switchport nonegotiate" has nothing to do with speed and duplex. The command just surpresses DTP packets which can cause unnecessary overhead. I'm just wondering that if the port is set as an ACCESS port, it won't send it send DTP frames, correct? thus, no need for "switchport nonegotiate" anways.

As long as both ports are set for no-negotiate and their speeds and duplex match your all set.
