NEW 7604 ROUTER TUNNEL NOT WORKING

Hi Guys,
I recently replaced my CORE router (7206) with a CISCO 7604 Router. I configured GRE Tunnels to all my nodes (over 200) but for some reasons, most of the applications at the remote wont work. I tore down the tunnel and everything worked fine, but when i route traffic through the tunnel nothing works. I got this error during configuration %Warning: Using same source IP for more than one IP/GRE tunnels %may cause %software switching packets for tunnels using %this address. If possible, use a %unique tunnel source for %Interface Tunnel609.
Any ideas? Thanks alot

Why are you using the same tunnel source for all your tunnels? did that work before?

Yeah, it worked. For instance, i have a service provider with about 79 nodes on their network. These links are then backhualed to my data centre and terminated on an interface on the router. Hence the common tunnel source.

Did the tunnels establish?

Same config? address changes, etc ...

what is the netmask for all the tunnel interfaces, /24?

DMVPN ? Or standard hub and spoke non-DMVPN

Are you routing beyond the tunnel interface? If the routing protocol properly setup?

Can I see a config for one tunnel that is not working?

Hi Harbor,
Yeah, the tunnels established. find the configs below

Tunnel19 is up, line protocol is up
  Hardware is Tunnel
  Internet address is 172.18.11.65/30
MTU 1514 bytes, BW 2048 Kbit, DLY 500000 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 3/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation TUNNEL, loopback not set
  Keepalive not set
Tunnel source 10.0.177.1, destination 10.0.177.240, fastswitch TTL 255
Tunnel protocol/transport GRE/IP, key disabled, sequencing disabled
  Tunnel TTL 255
Checksumming of packets disabled, fast tunneling enabled
Last input 00:00:02, output 00:00:01, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters never
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 15
  Queueing strategy: fifo
  Output queue: 0/0 (size/max)
  5 minute input rate 6000 bits/sec, 5 packets/sec
  5 minute output rate 32000 bits/sec, 1 packets/sec
  L2 Switched: ucast: 0 pkt, 0 bytes - mcast: 0 pkt, 0 bytes
L3 in Switched: ucast: 0 pkt, 0 bytes - mcast: 0 pkt, 0 bytes mcast
L3 out Switched: ucast: 0 pkt, 0 bytes mcast: 0 pkt, 0 bytes
606330 packets input, 300588881 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 0 broadcasts (63629 IP multicasts)
 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
 0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort
 401186 packets output, 96905884 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

The routing protocol is EIGRP, The EIGRP and Tunnels work perfectly on the 7206, but once they are moved to the 7604, the tunnels just wont work. everything works fine when everything is routed outside the tunnel.

Can you show me the output off

show run int t19

Hmm, the tunnel destination should be a routeable IP.  The ouotput of the above command will help me.

Hi Harbor,
Find below, the info requested
interface Tunnel19
 description TUNNEL TO XYZ
 bandwidth 2048
 ip address 172.18.11.65 255.255.255.252
 ip mtu 1472
 tunnel source 10.0.177.1
 tunnel destination 10.0.177.240

Your concern is appreciated. Thanks alot

Tunnel destination needs to be the outside interface of the remote router not the remote tunnel interface IP.

Is this a lab setup ? It should be a routable IP.

harbor235 ;}
No it is not a LAB, 10.0.177.1 is an outside interface on my core router connected via DSL to 10.0.177.240. note that this works perfectly on my 7206 Router
