Good for testing cable with open or shortcut circuit.
Now i want another thing. If my cable is good. i want an affordable tester to test the speed of this cable.
does the cable work a 20mbs, 50, 70, 100, 500, 1gbs speed?
if the cable is not in good condition, can i plug a sensor in my switch and a tester (or notebook) at the other end of my cable to test its speed?
thanks

Hi,
Fluke is the market leader in these products but it is expensive. You may have a look at its products;
http://www.flukenetworks.c
If you also accept a software based speed testing then below are good option;
Iperf dast.nlanr.net/Projects/Ip
ttcp www.pcausa.com Open-Source
Netperf www.netperf.org Open-Source
NetQoS www.netqos.com Propriety
Qcheck www.netiq.com/Qcheck/defau
simplenetsoftware simplenetsoftware.com Propriety
Bandwidth Meter www.bandwidth-meter.net Propriety
With Iperf already mentioned, is the best option. Closest option is QCheck.
I like the Test-um Validator

This meter - http://www.cdw.com/shop/pr
Kinda like the saying ''nobody ever got fired for buying Cisco'', Fluke meters are industrial strength solutions. They also make meters for network testing (e.g. NetTools, and LinkRunner) that check adapters, switches AND cables, but those don't specifically certify/qualify cable installations.
But do take a look at other brands too - e.g. http://www.datacomtools.co
