I actually installed a P6T Deluxe. I tried both the drivers from ASUS's site and the drivers from Marvell's site. Neither of them don't seem to correct the problem. I've also already installed the chipset driver.

Browse All TopicsI recently upgraded my motherboard and haven't been able to access the internet or other computers on the network since. I've downloaded the latest driver for the network controller at Marvell's homepage (driver dated 12/9/08) and installed it.
Other computers on the network can see the computer and access its shared folders. However, the computer with the P6T can't access the internet or any shared resources. I can see the other computers on the network, but I can't ping or access them. This computer is running Vista x64 and it seems telling me that the network is unidentified and public.
The other computers on the network also have Vista V64 installed and everything works fine. All the computers are connected to a one switch. All the other computers correctly identify the network and can connect to the internet.

First, are you sure you have the P6T and not the P6T Deluxe, or the P6T WS Pro?

b/ASUS/mb/ socket775/ P6T_WS_PRO / Driver/LA N_Viata_62 065022008. zip
Did you already install the chipset driver?
(P6T and P6T Deluxe)

(P6T WS Pro)

Then, I would stick with the LAN drivers available from ASUS as well...
These are for the P6T Deluxe (ASUS does not list any LAN drivers for the P6T)
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pu
And this one is for the Realtek gigabit adapter[s] in the P6T WS Pro
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pu
I think that's supposed to be 'Vista' not 'Viata' but that is in fact the filename on their server.
If you actually have a P6T WS Pro, that would be a good reason for the Marvel drivers failing to do much for the Realtek adapter[s]... there's also a teaming utility for the P6T WS Pro, which is what makes me think there are 2 onboard adapters on that board.
In the 32-bit versions if you attempted to install other drivers prior to the chipset driver you would need to boot into Safe mode to install the chipset driver correctly, then you could (re)install the rest of the drivers in normal mode. I'm not certain if that's necessary in the x64 versions of XP/vista/server 200x.
