I didn't say that you would do that with Present LinkSys I've told. You need to search for a new router which has aan USB port and is capable of dirving an USB hard disk. You'll need to replace your present LinkSysy with the new router and only after that you'll be able to use your ext disk via the new router.
Or you should consider buying an NAS-Storage.
That you can plugin into your linksys router.

Hi,
Actually I am afrraid you cant. In fact portble enclosures have several tyeps. Some come default with USB and/or e-Sata while still others come with and Ethernet and USB. You cna only connect them to your network using your Linksys.
there are some routers with built in USB Port but mostly they only support printing. If you could find a Wireless router which has an USB port and capable of driving an USB harddidks will do. Ohter than thatt alyou could do is to attach the external drive to a PC and Share the volume.
Cheers,
K.
