I'm trying to upgrade my WRT54G2 v1 device from the DD-WRT.com website, but can't seem to find the download. Can someone help me.

Download the TFTP util and 3 BIN files, and I recommend printing the readme for easy reference.
After you've followed the instructions in the readme and the 10709 build is loaded, reboot the router and log in (name = root, pw = admin)... don't bother changing the password or any settings - go to the Administration tab, Firmware Upgrade sub-tab, and flash Eko's 12548 micro build.
When it's finished and restarted by itself, wait a few minutes more and cycle power to it, then after it's rebooted again log in, change your password (change username too, if you want), and change/save/apply the settings.

If you go to the beta hardware page, http://dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3
and type in WRT54G2 that should narrow down the choices to 1.
Click on that and it says the latest BrainSlayer product (SP2 build 12533) should be found at

Though the 'peacock thread' (http://www.dd-wrt.com/php

which is patched for the milw0rm exploit.
The peacock thread is getting harder to find there because it's mentioned in so many other threads that searching for it gets over 6000 results and it doesn't appear in the first page of them. So you might want to bookmark it for future reference.
