cisco router connect to xbox live

I have an xbox 360 and an 881w router.  My xbox is directly connected to my router, not through the wireless since I have not set that up yet.  I am able to connect to xbox live but I always have to test the connection to connect to xbox live.  What do I have to do to my code?  Also lets just say for the sake of argument my xbox ip address is 50.0.0.100
