Wireless Internet suggestions

I'm moving my wireless DSL modem/router all the way to the other side of my house which will cause possible problems with the 2 computers that access the modem through wireless.  What suggestions do you have for a powerful wireless solution to this?
Do I have to use some type of amplifier/repeater?  I heard that you can use some type of system through the electric outlets in your house.  Is this true? Does it work?  What else is out there?

WDS (Wireless Distribution System) is also an option using a router and an access point if the signal is weak, just setup using WDS. You keep the same SSID and same security.
No wires and your range is boosted with no cutoffs.
