Networking and SAS Design in our HP blades

Hello.

I am in need of some advice regarding our site structure.

We have outgrown our current setup both in the network area and the storage area and i have bought some new equipment for setting up the new infrastructure. I have an idea of how i should be setting this up (with the CX4 connectors as the backbone between the devices). But before i do that i thought i would like to ask some advice from my fellow technicians of their ideas. Below i have listed the equipment at hand. Below i also have an explanation of what we deliver.

We deliver access to our customers so that they can access our webpage and from there on they connect to our Remote Desktop Farms. The protocol of importance for us are https and RDP. Today we have purely (ok almost!) HP equipment throughout our domains. We don´t have so much data running through the pipes, but because we are running RDP we need it to be as responsive as possbile, and because a lot of companys rely on this service we need it to be of pretty high availability, but not over the top.

We have 5 VMWare vSphere 5 servers at the bottom, and on top of that we are running Windows Server 2008R2 Servers and Linux Debian 6. The vSphere is loading the machines from a HP Storageworks 2324sa and an MSA70 on top of that.

If you need more info or have a question i´m glad to answer.

The equipment (both old and new) at hand are:

What's the question?

The question is what´s the best networking/sas configuration with the hardware at hand. For example, i haven´t installed the 2 Flex-10 modules yet because we are running the 4 GbE2c´s. And we are starting to feel that the MSA2324 isn´t coping with the vSphere demands, could we for example get another 2 SASswitches and connect a new MSA2324 G3 so that we can spread the load ?

Yes, i have 11x HP Dual Port Enterprise - Hårddisk - 300 GB - hot-swap - 2.5" SFF - SAS-2 - 10000 rpm for delivery in a week i intend to populate in R10 in the MSA70. In the MSA 2324 i have split up the disks between 4 vDisk where 2 is R5. My plan is to redesign this with only 1 vDisk in R10 with 24 146GB 15k RPM. Is this good or bad in your experience ? while googling around the opinions seem to differ whether one should choose only 1 vDisk or several.

Ok, i´ll split them up then.

No i´m planning to use the Built in nics in the G6 and G7´s for Flex-10 10 Gbit connections, and keeping the NC360m´s as backup/backup Nic´s for if the Virtual Connect domain comes crumbling down. Have never really used Virtual Connect so really can´t trust it yet.
