Netgear drops connection

I have a Netgear wireless access point, WN802T v2. It drops connections constantly. I can watch my wireless connection status drop then regain the connection all day. It will lose its connection to the network meaning even if I am connected to the access point, I have to reboot the access point to access anything on the network. I replaced the unit once, didn't fix the issue. I have upgraded the firmware on the new unit, still experiencing the drops. I have had the access point in two separate locations in the office using two different power sources and two different connections to the network. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on what I can do to resolve it?

Are you using a Dell laptop? Is the access point dropping its connection to the router?

No. I am using an HP laptop. And it isn't just my laptop that drops the connection. Any laptop connected through that access point loses its connection.

I would get the latest firmware from Netgear and update it...
Also try changing channels
Is there any other radio frequency activity that could be dropping your connection?
I have already upgraded the firmware to the latest version. I will try the channel change and see what that does for me. Thanks.
oneononecomp... What things would be creating a radio frequency that would be interfering? I'm thinking that is what is happening, but I can't figure out what could be causing it.
Make sure the SSID are different on the access point and router.

Its up on a bookshelf by itself, the closest appliance is a switch which it is connected to, then a copier. I changed the channel its using to broadcast and it dropped again. Thanks for all your input everyone... Still not sure what is going on with it.
