Accessing port services(web server) of guest OS VMmachine with Linux from the base OS-XP machine

Hi experts,

I have installed Linux operating as guest in VMware on top of XP(base) OS.
While installation I have selected as NAT networking and added the IP address of Linux host(guest) in host file of XP machine. As result the PING request with using IP as well as HOST-NMAE from XP to guest OS(Linux) going fine.

As I have installed web server on Linux, that is accessible its default page on 8000, the issue here is
I am able access this web page on the Linux(guest) OS, but the same URL I am not able to access from windows OS.

Can someone please advise where to diagnose this issue, so that I can able to access the default page from my base OS-XP .

Please let me know any more clarifications about the query.
