Linksys support told me to try that too and when it didn't work they told to update the firmware. Trouble is, there is no update available for this router :-(
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have just installed a Linksys Wireless-G ADSL Gateway and everything seems to working fine. However, I can no longer connect to Kazaa even though I have opened port 1214 on the router. I am running Windows XP Prof with service pack 1. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong because the Lady at Linksys Support had never heard of Kazaa!! I have opened port 1214 and also disabled the Firewall on the Router and I still can't connect to Kazaa!

I agree with ataridex in that you will need DMZ enabled in order for this to work. Here is some additional info to help with the configuration settings that you need:
Open up a command prompt and type "ipconfig"
Jot down the following info:
Under "Ethernet Adapter Local Area connection" you need:
IP Address:
Default gateway:
Open up an internet browser and type in the default gateway (on your linksys, it's probably 192.168.1.1) and hit enter. After you enable DMZ on your linksys, add the IP address that you jotted down above to the DMZ. This should make the DMZ point to your computer.
Let us know if this helps!
