Hi Mordido,
Couple of guesses make me think you have linksys
possible mistype in your subject as 192.168.1.1 and seeing your previous Question.
Did you change your password recently ?
Can you ping that IP address from your computer just seeing atleast you have connected to the router correctly .
As Lucf said you can reset your router but that would remove all the ISP or your personal configurations and would go back to factory settings.
If you infact have linksys , check this
http://tinyurl.com/6x87h
*******
Hold the reset button on the unit for 30 seconds or more and the router will be restored to factory defaults. This also means that your configuration will be set to factory defaults also, so if your router is configured for your ISP you may loose your connection until you set the unit up again. The default password for the router is admin in lower case letters.

PS: Make sure to give adequate details to help the expert .

Hi Mordido,
What router do you have? Without knowing such a thing it's guesswork for us to know if a backdoor exists or if you can flash the firmware without logging in.
For now all I can say is check the manufactors website for instructions.
Greetings,
LucF
